Class Skills #

Magic Resistance: C

Cancels spells with a chant below two verses. Cannot defend against magecraft on the level of greater magecraft and Greater Rituals.

Riding: A

Can freely control all beasts and vehicles. It seems she employs some form of magecraft, as she is able to ride even a materialized meteor. Generally, she cannot ride Phantasmal Beasts or Divine Beasts, but depending on the magecraft used, it might be possible to forcibly ride them.

Personal Skills #

Midwinter Mahatma: A

Even after changing her form, her talent remains intact. Just as in her Caster form, she connects to and manipulates numerous magecraft foundations freely…

However, her magecraft tends to evoke the imagery of “winter” and “snow.” It seems that her mental restraints automatically activate due to her costume as Snegurochka. Helena herself appears to be vaguely aware of that herself.

Snowfield Combat: C+

Inspired by the movements of Holmes (Sigerson) she witnessed in her lifetime. Essentially, it’s a mimicry of Bartitsu in snow.

Helena mentions that although it didn’t work well at all during her time as a Caster, her modified Spirit Origin seems to have had a positive effect, as she now moves smoothly as she desires. With the use of magecraft considerably more limited compared to her time as a Caster, she might have more magical energy available for hand-to-hand combat.

Santa Olcott: A+

With the change in her Spirit Origin, the Olcott dolls have also changed. While they can no longer be mass-produced in real-time through the Item Construction skill, the Olcott dolls in Santa mode possess a certain level of combat ability. Similar to acquiring the Snowfield Combat skill, with the use of magecraft considerably more limited compared to her time as a Caster, there might be more magical energy available to allocate to the Olcott dolls.

Noble Phantasms #

Meteor Snegurochka: Shooting Star Sparkling on Holy Night

RankB
TypeFlying Noble Phantasm / Anti-Army Noble Phantasm
Range1~50
Maximum Number of Targets50 people

Meteor Snegurochka.
It’s a fir tree (Yolka) used as a mount by Helena Blavatsky after changing her Spirit Origin.

Whether it’s a sublimation of some legend surrounding the snow maiden Snegurochka or influenced by Helena’s imagination about the ancient Slavic gods is unclear.

A continuously active Noble Phantasm.
While primarily a flying function Noble Phantasm and not intended for offensive use, it can unleash a high-speed ramming attack wrapped in magical energy upon unlocking its True Name. The appearance of this assault is akin to a shooting star.

Personality

An eternal magical girl who is kind to others, yet strict to herself.

During her lifetime, she navigated numerous social circles and interacted with geniuses like Edison and Bell, known for their strong personalities. She often clashed with authoritarians and members of the Mage’s Association, showcasing her exceptional skills in mediation. In gatherings of many Servants, she might come across as a “caring older sister/mother” due to her nurturing nature. However, it’s important to remember that she herself is a genius with a strong sense of self. She tends to show little interest in “ordinary people” who do not understand the concepts of Mahatma or Hierarchy, but once she recognizes someone as promising, she is unlikely to let them go.

Motivation · Attitude towards Master

She claims to have many wishes she would like to make on the Holy Grail and can’t narrow it down to just one. The truth of this statement is unclear.

“Don’t you think it’s good to be a woman of many mysteries? No, I mean, yes. There is only one truth, it is beyond human understanding, and the Mahatma knows all!”

Dialogue Examples

“Merry Christmas! С Рождеством!”1
“Here I am, for I’ve arrived! With a Mahatma change, I’ve dressed up as Snegurochka! Rider, Helena Blavatsky. Now, let’s deliver gifts to the children!”
“Imitation Bartitsu!”

Character Image in “FGOAC”

“Then I’ll be Snegurochka this year!” So declared Helena Blavatsky, splendidly changing her spiritual foundation with a Mahatma Change. While one might think this makes her Santa Helena Blavatsky, she is actually dressed in blue, not the traditional red attire of Santa. In Russia, there is “Ded Moroz,” a Santa-like figure in blue clothing, and his granddaughter “Snegurochka,” who also wears blue. Thus, Helena’s current form is not a Santa costume, nor is it a Russian Santa costume, but rather the attire of the daughter of a Russian Santa-like figure!

“С Рождеством! Here we go. Gifts for the good children! And gifts for the naughty ones too!”

General Armaments

Hand to hand combat (a Mahatma arrangement of the Baritsu she learned from Holmes) + a mix of beam attacks from Santa Olcott.

Connections with Characters

Child Servants

“Good child? Naughty child? It’s time for presents!”

Servants with Childlike Bodies but Mature Minds

“You seem like a naughty child, but I can’t help it. Here’s a present!”

Sherlock Holmes

“Oh come on, Sigerson! If only you had worn a blue outfit, we could’ve been Ded Moroz and Snegurochka!”

Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla

“Both of you are in blue! What a shame, Mr. Edison and Mr. Tesla!”

Translator’s Notes
  1. ^ “С Рождеством!” is “Merry Christmas!” but in Russian.

Comment from Illustrator #

Since the concept of “Snegurochka” was the starting point, I designed the character primarily with blue and white. FGO Arcade involves controlling 3D-modeled characters, so I aimed for a cute appearance with a fluffy, voluminous outfit adorned with boa and pompoms. I imagined this would look adorable in motion, and upon playing, I was moved to see it turned out even cuter than anticipated. I am truly grateful to the development staff. (Matsuryu)
