Allows for the creation of a workshop to create a favorable position for one’s self as a mage. Perhaps because she is a complete nomad and has a free-spirited approach to her activities, never settling in one place, she doesn’t have much experience setting up territories.

Rapid Casting (Monster): EX

Has the ability to speed up magical casting. Though not divine words, the beauty of her spells is already on the level of fairy words. Her spells are fast, short, and have a somewhat sad tone.

Can create magical tools. The staff she holds in her hand is her workshop, so she can make various tools in an instant.

She has some non-human blood mixed in her. As she is Merlin’s sister, it’s only natural that she be born from an Incubus and that she completely inherited all the traits of an Succubus…. at least that’s what she says

Independent Manifestation: A

A Skill that permits unsupported manifestation into reality. She acquired this skill on her own and uses it for her hobby. This is one of the reasons she appeared here, somewhere she has no natural connection to.

Light Be in Your Hands: B

A blessing given to those who struggle with something so powerful they can scarcely imagine it. This blessing, however, is meant to help them on their quest to claim what they desire, rather than simply giving it to them outright. (In fact, this is actually a variant of Hero Creation.)

Flower Blooming on a Summer’s Night: D

Charisma which people of all types naturally gravitate towards. This tends to draw people towards her until she finds herself the center of attention. However, as she loves fun and novel things, and tends to wander around freely on her own rather than put down roots in any one place, she is rarely able to make full use of this skill. (In fact, this is actually a variant of Dreamlike Charisma.)

Succubus Ridge: A+

Her power as the last Succubus on Earth. Her true nature. A combination of Illusion and Mystic Eyes. With a gaze of the battlefield, enemies and allies included, she can step into the minds of enemies and drain their magical energy.

Utopia That Beckons Beyond.
Avalon will continue to exist for as long as humankind does, and Lady Avalon sees it as the ideal future humankind hopes to reach one day. That is why the Avalon in which she lives is not shut away from the outside world, but instead positioned as a goal she has set for humanity to strive towards.

The staff she wields points to a place just over the horizon. It is a guiding light, and the very hope that still drives people ever forward.

That is why she continues to point the way: so those who continue to advance will not falter, in hope that one day, their journey may finally come to an end.

Once this Noble Phantasm’s True Name is released, all nearby can see a far-off utopia that lies in a phantasmal world. They can feel a warm, pleasant spring breeze filled with the scent of flowers—a breeze that feels as though it can melt even the coldest of frozen, desolate seas. It fills those who dream of utopia with the sense that such a thing truly could become reality.

Personality

A pretty flower of a woman who never loses her composure. Her beauty often makes those who meet her feel as though they’re in a dream, and leaves some men with the impression that she may even be an enchantress sent to entice them to their doom.

She views the world objectively, as though she’s always aware of the bigger picture, a step removed from normal perspectives. Some people interpret this dryness as serene wisdom, while others see it as typical for a coldhearted mage.

As a Mage of Flowers, she understands that the human world is a cruel and ugly place, but also has a soft spot for it, believing that it’s basically okay “as long as they have a single star that still shines bright.”

Attitude towards Master

She treats them kindly with a smile, but she continues to maintain the distance between them. This is because she is aware that Master is human, while she is an outsider.

However if the time comes where she feels like Master is a “shining star” she’ll take a step forward and truly deepen their bond.

She reminds me of someone. She reeeally reminds me of someone. It may have been Master who said that, or Technical Advisor Da Vinci, or Director Goredolf. Maybe she’s related to you-know-who somehow? Yeah, you know. The Mage of Flowers, Mer—

“That’s right! Of course I remind you of Merlin. I’m his little sister, after all.”

Oh, okay! That makes sense!

She will never reveal her true identity.

Why does she desperately flee the King Arthur who claims to be from another world? Even if what she says about having come here from paradise is true, there’s no way she can actually be Merlin’s sister. Even if you ask her directly, she’ll only smile gently in response.

Maybe…it’s not actually possible for her to answer this question herself? Maybe if she did, she’d dissolve into foam and disappear?

…Who am I? …What’s my True Name?

The most likely reason she was made a Pretender is that she won’t answer those questions, no matter what. At any rate, as has been stated, she refuses to give her name. Instead, she simply stands there smiling like a flower, watching over the Master of Chaldea’s journey.

Furthermore, it’s still not clear how she ended up in the summer Arctic Circle Singularity. Sometimes, she says that the Holy Grail called her there. Other times, she says that she came of her own accord. If she really is connected to Merlin somehow, it’s entirely possible that she came simply because she wanted to.

Though of course, we’ll never get the truth out of her either way…

If nothing else, I really am glad to see you’re doing well.

I drew this new Servant based on Proto Merlin who was Implemented in FGO Arcade. It’s been a while since I made Proto Merlin, so my sensibilities have changed a bit, so I tried my best not to ruin the impression of the Arcade version while designing this new version.

Her First Ascension was chiefly influenced by Arcade’s Second Ascension with bits and pieces coming from Arcade’s First and Third Ascensions.

For the Second Ascension, I struggled for a long time with whether to put the garter under the bottoms or on top, but in the end I prioritized the design and put it on top.

For the Third Ascension, we first considered the motion and then adjusted the appearance. We decided on a dress style but in the end it ended up becoming something quite abstract.

I tried my best to add elegance while also making it possible to sense the changes from the First Ascension. (Taiki)
